Special paint powers hobby providing new life for furniture 

Every old piece of furniture tells a story, and the two Huntersville women who founded Bristle and Brush have amassed a collection of stories as varied as the paint colors they sell.

Jill Swain and Sandi Brennan say, only half-joking, they should write a book one day. There are stories about furniture mishaps, blown tires and wardrobe malfunctions, but also stories about new friendships, perfect “picks” and serendipitous sales.
