Our very first project happened by chance. In retrospect, that seems to be the ways things happen for us. We found a china cabinet on Facebook Marketplace that was for sale for a very good price as part of an estate cleaning. When we arrived with our trailer, we say the piece was on the third floor of an apartment building. It took three of us to move it carefully in two pieces, with the glass precariously placed because the piece was wobbly and needed fixing. In the end, we got the piece for free, took it to Jill’s garage and started to work.

We took out the glass, separated the top and bottom pieces, took off all the hardware. Sandi painted, Jill sanded and stained and then Sandi found peel-and-stick wallpaper that brought our hardware and Fusion’s Ash color together.

We were thrilled when we placed it for sale and the first person interested brought it home. She was downsizing and replaced her set with smaller pieces and this one.

The was the beginning of the process, and the stories that seem to find the right homes for the right pieces.
